Apple Announces ‘Scary Fast’ October Event

Apple issued invitations on Tuesday for an event scheduled to stream on its website on Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. ET, marking a departure from their usual afternoon launch timing.

The event's tagline, "scary fast," hints at the anticipated launch of the next-gen M3 silicon chip, aligning with the Halloween theme.

The company is anticipated to unveil iMac computers featuring the powerful new chipset, a move aimed at revitalizing Mac sales, which have declined this year.

As per Bloomberg's recent report, Apple is set to reveal an updated 24-inch iMac, potentially equipped with an M2/M3 chip.

Likewise, there are speculations about Apple introducing 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, potentially featuring 3nm M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.

The upcoming Apple Silicon chips, with up to 16 CPU cores and 40 GPU cores, promise enhanced performance and power efficiency compared to their predecessors.

Apple strategically timed this event, coinciding with Qualcomm's revelation of its M2 rival, the Snapdragon X Elite, featuring a 12-core Oryon CPU that boasts superior performance to the Apple M2 Max while being more power-efficient.
