Grimes Sues Elon Musk Over Parental Rights

Singer Claire 'Grimes' Boucher filed a "petition to establish parental relationship" against her ex Elon Musk concerning their three children in a California court on September 29, as per court records from Page Six.

The petition seeks legal recognition of parents when unmarried. Filings are sealed, but the case docket is public. There's no response from Tesla co-founder to Grimes' petition yet.

Grimes, 35, and Musk, 52, started dating in 2018 and had a rocky relationship until they broke up for good in September 2021.

The Canadian artist had their first child, a son named X Æ A-Xii, in May 2020. Later, they secretly welcomed a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl, aka Y, via surrogate in December 2021.

In September, Walter Isaacson’s ‘Elon Musk’ biography revealed that Elon Musk and Grimes had a third child, a boy named Techno Mechanicus, nicknamed Tau. The birth date is unclear.

As the legal proceedings continue, the outcome of custody and parental rights for Grimes and Elon Musk's three children is uncertain. Judges usually consider joint custody but adapt based on circumstances.

Musk, divorced three times with 11 children, secretly welcomed twins with Zilis in November 2021, only revealed eight months later after his separation from Grimes.
