Grand Theft Auto 6: Trailer Released on Monday Night

After a decade of anticipation, speculation, and waiting, the trailer for Rockstar Games' upcoming Grand Theft Auto game has been released, coinciding with the franchise's approach to its 25th anniversary.

Rockstar Games had initially scheduled the release of GTA 6's first trailer for Tuesday, but to the delight of fans, the trailer was unexpectedly dropped on Monday night.

On December 1, Rockstar Games shared an announcement about the GTA 6 trailer on their X platform. Expressing gratitude for global player support, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary this month.

Confirmed for a 2025 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, GTA 6's press release omits mention of a PC version. Similar to GTA V, a PC release might be revealed later.

The trailer introduces Lucia, a female protagonist engaging in a crime spree across crowded beaches, city highways, and clubs, reminiscent of a Bonnie-and-Clyde scenario with her partner.

BofA Global Research estimated in 2022 that GTA VI could generate $3.5 billion in bookings at launch and maintain an annual average of $2 billion thereafter.
