Meta Is Developing More Advanced AI System

Meta Platforms is reportedly developing a potent artificial intelligence system, aiming to rival OpenAI's most advanced model, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal.

Meta Platforms is targeting a release for its advanced AI model next year, aiming to surpass the capabilities of its commercial version known as Llama 2, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Llama 2, introduced by Meta as an open-source AI language model in July, is distributed via Microsoft's Azure cloud services, positioning it in competition with OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Bard.

The proposed system, subject to potential changes, is designed to assist other firms in creating services capable of generating advanced text, analyses, and similar outputs, as per the newspaper's report.

Since OpenAI introduced ChatGPT in late 2022, businesses and enterprises have increasingly embraced the emerging generative AI market to enhance capabilities and streamline their operations.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is developing AI solutions akin to OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Bard. Apple has constructed its framework called 'Ajax' for building large language models and is experimenting with a chatbot internally referred to as 'Apple GPT'.

Meta unveiled its most robust Llama 2 model in July, boasting training on a staggering 70 billion parameters, which are the components used to gauge the size of an AI system.
