Porsche 718 Spyder RS To Debut In 2024

The Spyder RS will be the Boxster equivalent to the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. It will share the same powertrain, but it won't have the most aggressive aero.

The new Spyder RS shares the illustrious 4.0 liter six-cylinder with the 911 GT3, and Cayman GT4 RS. It will produce 493 horsepower as well as 331 pound feet of torque.

The Porsche 718 Spyder, priced at a staggering $162,150 is a Cayman GT4 RS with its roof yanked off. The fabric roof is retractable and manually operated.

The Porsche 718 Spyder RS weighs 1,410 kg, making it 40 kg lighter than the non-RS variant.

Porsche claims its internal combustion engines have been lowered 30 mm, and it now runs on 20 inch forged wheels. Optional magnesium wheels can replace them.

The car can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 secs and from 0-200 km/h in 10.9 secs. The car can reach a maximum speed of 308 km/h.

Porsche will debut the Boxster Spyder RS during a celebration for the 75 years of Porsche sports cars in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen in June.
