While the science has been front-and-center at Elon Musk’s demonstration about Neuralink, his individual mind computer inference firm, the surgical robot that the firm debuted made a dab of its own.

The curved polycarbonate literary design of this brain surgeon bot resembles something from this Portal franchise, but it is in fact the production of Vancouver-based industrial design company Woke Studio.


To be clear, Musk’s scientists and engineers have established the underlying tech, however Woke assembled the robot’s appearance and user experience, in addition to the behind-the-ear communication ending bit that Neuralink has shown in earlier demonstrations.
