Today, the business world has become very competitive to find the best guest bloggers, with every company trying out new strategies to outperform others.

However, one old-school trick that works well even now is guest blogging. In fact, 60% of bloggers and business owners publish at least 1-5 guest posts a month.

You must find a good guest blogger today if you want your business to reach new heights through strategic marketing tactics.

While this can be tedious, here are some tips and tricks on finding the best guest bloggers.

1. Build Your Community

Before you start seeking a guest poster, make sure to increase your credibility. If not, no guest poster will agree to work with you.

For instance, an active community where the bloggers and their audiences are equally enthusiastic is a great start. What you need to do is make yourself a part of this community.

Either build one yourself or engage with others first. Start commenting on other blogs and express your honest views about the written content.

The more you engage with others in the blogging industry, the more you’ll get to know about good guest posters and how they can help you.

Gradually, you can build a community of your own and then keep an eye out for a professional guest poster. This way, the guest posters will also be aware of you and be ready to do business with you.

2. Find A List of Websites

Since guest blogging is a very popular marketing tactic, you can easily find out a list created by other bloggers or posted on different websites.

Most of these lists are also categorized by topics and other relevant criteria, making your work easier.

For example, an SEO company in India will be able to share their previous task examples and show how their work has improved other businesses.

Even if you’re not in touch with any SEO company, a quick search on Google can be useful.

Make sure to include the keyword in the search bar so that the results show only bloggers or blogging services who write posts relevant to your business.

3. Don’t Ignore Backlinks

Most blogs that guest bloggers have written often come with an author bio box or some information that can lead you to them.

This is mostly done to generate high-quality backlinks and more traffic to the guest poster’s pages.

Unfortunately, most readers completely ignore the author bio box, which makes them miss out on a lot of valuable content written by the same blogger.

Never ignore these backlinks and bio boxes if you plan to hire a reputed guest blogger.

Even if no direct link will take you to the guest poster’s page, you can fish for more information by searching on Google.

4. Refine Your Search Terms

As you might have already guessed, Google and other search engine websites are powerful tools to connect you with guest posters from not just your locality but all over the world.

However, the way you type in your search queries is also something to keep in mind. There are a variety of search terms that you can type in and see whether each result provides you with what you want.

For example, if you have a marketing firm and need a good guest poster, you can search on Google using keywords like “marketing guest post” or “submit a guest post for marketing.”

In this case, you might have to go beyond the first page of Google search results.

5. Don’t Reject Right at First

After you’ve selected a few guest posters or guest posting companies who might be interested in writing for your business, it’s important to interview them properly.

However, don’t simply go by what’s written on their resumes or websites and make a rash decision.

Most business owners tend to interact over one phone or video call and reject the first few applicants.

If your company is still in the making and you commit this mistake, it will cost you a lot. So, try to interact with the guest poster on the basis of what they’ve written and how well their posts have reached out to the audiences.

Conduct the initial conversation like an interview, but make sure not to be too harsh or judgemental.

6. Encourage Professional Bloggers

If your business page is open for guest posting, many people in your social circle might want to write for you to improve their own credibility.

While letting your friends and family contribute to your company is nice, their posts may not yield too many views or shares.

Ultimately, you will have wasted time and energy and have to have a difficult talk with the person writing the blogs.

Therefore, make it clear that you wish to separate your personal and professional lives.

If there is someone you personally know as a reputed guest blogger, you can go ahead and hire them. But don’t collaborate with someone simply because they’re close to you.

7. Search in Reverse

Another useful way of finding good guest posters is to conduct your internet searches in reverse.

Check your competitor sites and see the guest bloggers who have written there. See which websites they have been associated with and how you can join the guest-blogging industry.

Once you start following popular blogs in your niche, you’ll have a better idea of which guest posters to contact.

You can use keywords like “guest post by” or “guest contribution by” to further solidify your reverse searches.

When you have the list of names ready, do a backlink search to see which backlinks they’re connected to.

Over to You…

It’s not easy to find the right guest poster for you, especially if you’re planning to do it for the first time.

But remember to be patient and understanding. Even if the first few guest-posting services don’t work out as per your wishes, remember not to give up easily. Instead, gain more experience by retrying these methods.
