Recently, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released projections on which professions will see the greatest growth in the coming decade. They expect total employment to rise from 153.5 million – 165.4 million, a 11.9 million job increase from 2020-2030.


Leisure and hospitality will see the greatest growth, while healthcare and social services are expected to create the most jobs. The fastest projected job growth is in healthcare support jobs. These are the 10 most promising occupations that have the greatest growth potential in the next 10 years.

1. Wind Turbine Service Technicians

The employment of wind service turbine technicians is expected to increase by 68.2%. Wind turbines will continue to grow as more people move towards alternative and green energy. 2. Nurse Practitioners

The expected boom in social assistance and healthcare will be accompanied by a 52.2% increase in the projected number of nurse practitioners jobs.
