Recently, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released projections on which professions will see the greatest growth in the coming decade. They expect total employment to rise from 153.5 million – 165.4 million, a 11.9 million job increase from 2020-2030.


Leisure and hospitality will see the greatest growth, while healthcare and social services are expected to create the most jobs. The fastest projected job growth is in healthcare support jobs. These are the 10 most promising occupations that have the greatest growth potential in the next 10 years.

1. Wind Turbine Service Technicians

The employment of wind service turbine technicians is expected to increase by 68.2%. Wind turbines will continue to grow as more people move towards alternative and green energy. This makes the field No. The field is expected to grow at the fastest rate and have the highest potential over the next 10 years.

2. Nurse Practitioners

The expected boom in social assistance and healthcare will be accompanied by a 52.2% increase in the projected number of nurse practitioners jobs.

3. Solar Photovoltaic Installers

While the name may seem confusing at first glance, you are already familiar with what these workers do: solar panel installers. You can see why this job is projected to grow in employment by 52.1% over the next ten years. Solar power is here and will continue to be so.

4. Statisticians

The demand for statisticians and mathematicians is expected to rise by 35.4% over the next ten years as the world becomes more connected and data drives much.

5. Physical Therapist Assistants

Physical therapy is a job that is closely related to the assistance and healthcare field. A physical therapy assistant job will see an expected increase in employment of up to 35.4%. Physical therapy assistants will see a rise in employment as the aging generation of millennials requires more care.

Cyber security is becoming more important as more people use the internet to do almost everything. In ten years, the demand for information security analysts will increase by 33.3%.

7. Personal and Home Health Aides

Home health care professionals will experience a 32.6% growth in the next 10 years. First, the global population is between 40 and 59 years of age. In other words, the population must slowly transition to golden years care within the next ten years.


A major factor in this transition is the fact that most children of baby boomer parents will be unable to care and support their elderly parents as they have in the past. Home health care will be more important than ever, and there will be more demand for these jobs. If you have an elderly in your family, you will appreciate the help, especially from a medically trained person. The projected 31.4% increase of employment in all other data and mathematical sciences, including statistics, is for all other math and data computing sciences. This could include cloud computing, management, web services that require data control, and other areas.
