Samsung’s next big Unpacked event is scheduled for August 5. As is the trend these days, the unveiling will be online-only, following in the footsteps of big virtual events from the likes of Microsoft and Apple.

It’s Samsung’s first crack at the format. The company just made it under the pre-COVID-19 shutdown wire back in February for the Galaxy S20 launch.

Samsung has announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on Wednesday, August 5th, at 10AM ET.

The company is expected to reveal its new lineup of Galaxy Note 20 devices, along with a successor to its first foldable, the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

Samsung’s teaser is really mysterious, although by the standards of technology invitations, even though the copper color dab does match exactly the leaked pictures of the Galaxy Notice 20 Ultra — the rumored flagship of this lineup — which were posted on Samsung’s Russian site at the start of July.

Rumors are uncharacteristically silent to what to expect, in spite of the fact that a statement is set to arrive in under a month. Even though a minumum of one real Note 20 Ultra apparatus has made its way out to the planet already. The newest flagship will allegedly feature a triple back camera choice, such as a periscope-style lens, together with a 4th detector which seems to be a 3D ToF detector or a laser autofocus.

Expect to see the normal bump in specs, also, with the addition of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 — or maybe even the rumored Snapdragon 865 Plus — that, such as the S20 lineup earlier this season, will create 5G the default option to the new Notes along with some 120Hz refresh rate screen alternative.

And needless to say, the Note 20 may comprise an S-Pen, possibly with a brand new tip or two up its sleeve.

Samsung is also predicted to possess at least 2 Galaxy Note 20 versions — a smaller Galaxy Note 20, and also the bigger Note 20 Ultra, though specifics are slim on exactly what the differences will probably be (besides dimensions.)

The followup into the Galaxy Fold — allegedly termed the Galaxy Z Twist 2, to combine the branding of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Switch from before this season, each SamMobile — has been rumored to contain a bigger internal 7.7-inch screen, maybe with a touchscreen very similar to Samsung’s additional flagship phones. Specs are also expected to receive a boost, too, even though there’s no details out there just yet.

Lastly, the event could see the announcement of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, which has already been revealed courtesy of China’s TENAA certification center.

That device will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and a slight drop in overall battery capacity compared to the earlier LTE version
