The programming landscape began to change dramatically in the 2000s. Numerous processors were added to more computers, and some processors even had multiple cores. Functional programming has seen a revival in interest over the years.

This paradigm tries to minimize side effects and maximize efficiency. It is time to re-learn programming and improve our skills as we move towards 2022. Experts are constantly developing new programming languages that are efficient and professional. This is a great boon for modern programmers. This article lists the most recent programming languages, which might be useful to learn in 2022.

Top 10 New Programming Languages in 2022

1. Julia

Julia is a high-level and high-performance dynamic programming language with many features. It is well-suited for computational science and numerical analysis. Julia stands out from other languages because of its type system that includes parametric polymorphism. It is also dynamic and has multiple dispatches.

2. Rust

Rust is a general-purpose programming language that supports multi-paradigms. That was designed to be safe and efficient, with a special focus on concurrency. It is extremely fast, memory-efficient, and has a rich type system as well as an ownership model. It is capable of achieving memory safety without the need for garbage collection. Reference counting is an option.

3. Elixir

Elixir, a dynamic functional language, is used to build scalable and maintainable apps. The Erlang VM is a low-latency, distributed and fault-tolerant system that can be used to leverage Elixir. Elixir provides both productive tooling as well as an extensible design.

4. Apache Groovy

Apache Groovy, a multi-faceted language that runs on the Java platform, is available. It is an optionally typed and powerful language with static typing and compilation capabilities for the Java platform. This language is intended to improve developer productivity. It can be integrated seamlessly with Java programs and provides powerful features such as scripting capabilities, domain-specific languages authoring, and more.

5. Kotlin

Kotlin is cross-platform, statistically typed, general-purpose programming that uses type inference. It’s designed to work in complete harmony with Java, so users can fully utilize the JVM libraries and frameworks. It also has great support from its ever-growing global network.

6. TypeScript

TypeScript is a programming language with strong typing. It builds on JavaScript to allow for tighter integration with editors. This language can be used to create JavaScript applications that can be executed on both the client and server side. There are several definition files that allow you to include type information from existing JavaScript libraries.

7. Clojure

Clojure is a dynamic programming language for general purposes that combines the ease of scripting languages with an efficient, robust infrastructure for multithread programming. It is a compiled language that allows for dynamic access to Java frameworks. There are optional type hints, type inference and type hints to make sure Java calls can be avoided by reflection.

8. F#

F# is a general-purpose functional programming language. It can be used for both imperative and object-oriented programming. It can be used to create JavaScript and GPU codes and is cross-platform common langauge infrastructure (CLI).

9. Dart

Dart is a programming language designed for client development such as the web and mobile applications. It is an object-oriented programming language, which is fully optimized to build user interfaces. Interfaces, mixins and abstract classes are all supported.
